The Luxtons have been farming in Devon for generations, originally at Glendon Farm and now also at North Alfordon Farm.

The farms are in beautiful rolling Devonshire pastures with much of it surrounded by mature deciduous woodlands. There's a great view of Dartmoor National Park in the background and it is quite normal to see a plethora of wild flora and fauna whilst checking the farm animals in the morning. Every season is different, and every time of year gives new sights and sounds.

Many years ago they started concentrating on selling their produce locally, then a few years age opening a bespoke farm shop on the outskirts of the local town, Okehampton. The traceability of their beef and lamb is unrivalled, as it is born and reared on the farm. Other products are from local farms, growers and suppliers. Their food miles are measured in yards.

It is said that for meat to be right it has to be bred right, fed right and hung right. At Farmer Luxtons they stick rigidly to these principals, quality breeding stock, good animal care, feeding a forage based diet, and a state of the art hanging room ensures the products are of an unrivalled quality.
